Call for Artists

Eligibility: Exhibition is open to all 2D and 3D fine arts media.

The theme is open to all subject matter, with a special focus on the creative process and use of media.

2D Work: All media accepted for consideration. Work must be wire-strung, ready to hang (no saw- tooth hangers). Not exceeding 50″ in any direction. No ornate frames please.

Entry Fees: There is a non-refundable entry fee, for up to 3 pieces – $25 for non AVAA Members; $20 for current AVAA members. Your entry fee helps with reception and show costs. Click on the Apply Here link. Accepted payments by by debit/credit card, paypal and venmo. Or, checks payable to AVAA and mailed by the deadline to Kelli Montgomery, c/o AVAA, 1700 Alcove Ct., Austin TX 78757.

Memberships may be renewed by entry deadline. To join AVAA or Payment via PayPal on the AVAA website under Join Us at http://www.avaaonline.org/join-us.

Entry Format: Only digital submissions will be accepted. Please upload your images through the APPLY HERE button below.

Judging: Artwork will be chosen from submitted entries. Notifications will be by emailed by Sept. 17 at 5 p.m.

Sales: No commissions are taken on the artwork. Art must remain on display for the duration of the show. Payments to the artists will be made within 15 days after the close of show. Artists are responsible for their own sales tax. Work sold during the exhibition through credit card payment is subject to 4% processing fee (so please factor that into your price). The gallery is open Fridays, noon-3, and Saturdays, 11-5.

Delivery: Hand-delivered work will be received at Austin Art Space on Sat., Sept. 21, noon-4 p.m.

Return of Artwork: Artists or artist representatives are responsible for picking up their work on Saturday, Oct. 19, noon-4 pm. All works must be picked up on this date.

Acceptance of artwork in this exhibition grants permission to use selected entries for publicity purposes. Neither AVAA, nor its resident artists, will be liable for loss or damage of any work submitted for this exhibition. Each exhibit features a diverse group of talented, multi-media artists from all backgrounds showcasing the creativity throughout Austin.
