For more than a decade on behalf of a Dallas-based investment banking firm, I traveled weekly to cities from coast to coast, both in the United States and Canada, presenting full-day seminars for business owners on Mergers and Acquisitions. Between trips, I painted.
Finding the weekly travel schedule grueling, and with the gentle encouragement of my wife, I retired to do full time what I loved most—I now paint full time. So these days, in a remarkable turn of events, I fly anywhere my imagination takes me and I never have to board a plane.
I paint primarily in Acrylics on canvas and have experimented with varied styles and subject matter. Landscapes, portraits and still lifes all interest me. My greatest joy is developing nuances in color, tone and texture. Austin, Texas is my home and while most of my landscapes celebrate the Southwest, having spent the majority of my life in Wisconsin some of my work continues to reflect the Midwest.
I’ve been accepted by jury into the Milwaukee League of Artists and am currently a member of the Austin Artists’ Network, Lakeway Painters and am a resident artist at the Austin Art Space Gallery & Studios—a division of The Austin Visual Arts Association.
