Gallery Rental Details

Rental is available to solo artists or groups of artists working in 2d or 3d. The agreement includes a three hour opening period and two consecutive Friday/Saturday's of regular gallery hours. Austin Art Space takres no commisssion on artwork sold during the exhibition.

An Austin Art Space representative will be designated to work with the renting artist or group on all aspects of the exhibit in order to insure optimum results.

Renters are responsible for promoting and hanging their own show, and for complete clean-up after the conclusion of the run. Renters are responsible for providing and serving their own refreshments, if any. And, for providing their own labels, name tags, displaty material, etc.

Rentals are generally booked two months or more in advance. Availability is on a first-come-first-served basis upon receipt of deposit. 

 Excellent Show Space

The gallery offfers clear, unobstructed carpeted floor space of 325 sq.ft. with 15 ft. ceilings and walls on three sides. That's plenty of space to accomodate 50 paintings and 100 patron at an opening reception. With the glass front, patrons can spill out onto the covered walkway and still feel connected to the art.

Opening Receptions

The separate studio space at the back of the gallery includes a small refridgerator, microwave, industrial sink and work surfaces for prepping wine and hors d'oeuvres for presentation in the gallery proper.

Refreshments may be served by waitstaff, set out on tables inside or, weather permitting, set on tables in the covered sidewalk area.

Continuing Exhibition of Work

The exhibit period is two consecutive weeks on display. The gallery is open to the public during regular business hours: Friday and Saturday, 11:00am-6:00pmand is staffed bt Austin Art Space during those times. The renter has the option of extending the open day or open hours within the two week period.

Exhibition Promotion

Austin Art Space will feature the event on its calendar page and provide an additional webpage or link for more information. Austin Art Space will also include the event in its monthly email newsletter to patrons and its on-going publicity to media with event listings.

Further, the renting artist is free to promote the opening and exhibition in all appropriate media.
